Toby Norways is an award-winning writer of script and prose and teaches scriptwriting part-time at the University of Bedfordshire. His films have screened in diverse locations around the world, including BAFTA Piccadilly, Hollywood, and Iraq.
Toby has recently completed a PhD Creative Writing with Newman University and Liverpool Hope University, writing a non-fiction memoir about his father ‘Bill’ Norways, a prisoner of the Japanese during WWII. Toby’s recent discovery of his father’s artwork, bundled with mysterious letters in Japanese, led him on a worldwide research journey to Singapore, Thailand, and finally Japan.
